To celebrate the release of ‘Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang’ – written by and starring Teaching Awards president Emma Thompson - primary headteacher Carol Clare won a trip to attend the world premiere in London’s Leicester Square.
Carol, who is head of Park Community Primary School in Boston, Lincolnshire, was entered into a Teaching Awards prize draw after nominating her deputy headteacher Bridget Macpherson for a 2010 Teaching Award.
She said: ‘Attending the premiere of Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang, was a really special experience – from the walk down the blue sparkling carpet to the speech given by the star, Emma Thompson - everything about it was as magical as the movie itself.'
Carol and her husband Gregory also won dinner for two and an overnight stay in a West End hotel.
